New Live Brief- Meadowlands Feastival

We have been set a new Live brief. Last Thursday the client came into our class to speak to us about the project. Mark Ede is the organiser of the festival and wants us to think of a campaign that will help attract an audience to the festival. He wants us to help promote Meadowlands.

"A music festival on the 27th-29th May, currently it's second year running and is a very small feastival. He wants to attract a younger target audience to it and will be held in the little village Glynde roughly 15 minutes drive from where i live.

In class we was asked to come up with some ideas to help with the campaign:

Online competitions - win tickets. Band competitions - meet band
Music videos
Facebook page
Youtube advert/Twitter advert
Posters
Clothing
Animations, motion graphics
Videos - interviews with band
Videos - behind the scenes
Blogs - about the preperation
Blogs sponsored by Meadowlands
Flyers, Leaflets
Billboards
Online banners
Sticker campaign
TV Advert
Badges, Coasters
Local media - Advertisements in paper/leaflets

After talking about the brief, we decided to stay away with T-shirts, coasters, badges because the simple fact that they will cost. We also decided not to go along with the idea of posters/flyers because Meadowfields currently already use them.
We decided to do something Digitally-

A website optimized for smartphones which includes updates on the festival lineups, stages, ticket prices, travel information, music previews, reviews, times, locations and have something to let people upload their own photos and videos.

Each person, in this assignment; will make a promotion video each and create a page that will contribute to the website.

We also talked about creating an app for smartphones that will cover the majority of stuff that the website contains.

My first initial thought about this project is that it can be quite fun to do, but becasue it is a live brief, i will have to make sure my time management is up to scratch and make sure all my deadlines are met and that i dont fall behind. It is also going to be quite enjoyable becasue the fact of it being related to music festival, i like this as i go to festivals myself, so i can relate to the subject.

Lastly, here is the festivals logo-
