Project settings- Meadowlands Promo

As i created my film in Final cut, i wont show all the technique as it is basically a repeat of some other previous projects that i have posted on here before. However, i have taken a few screen prints, that i feel are important to show you.

Here is all the settings i have used to create my film.

Here is a screen shot of the website i used for
my music i used. I have used this website for
many projects in the past, and i really recommend it.

This is to show you how i created my opening scenes,
where i had the people entering the ground. All i did was
cut the points what i wanted to use, and overlap them
to get the effect of them jumping from one point
to another. I also sped the shots up.

This last shot shows you, me crossfading one
sound track into another, with the cross fade
transition. Also, to get everything in time,
i had to slow down first soundtrack and it
worked well, and made the video bang
on time with the dancing scenes and shot
of the stereo.

Organising and Preperation for Filming

Today i am shooting my viral video. I will be filming, whilst my friends are in the shots. I have organised my time fairly well. I didn't want to shoot it at mid day, where the sun is at its brightest, as it will probably effect the shots, and not look so clear. I have organized for my friends to come straight to the destination after they finish work. It will be between 5-5.30, which will leave me a short space to film, before it gets dark. If i need to shoot another day, during the weekend, its not a problem.

Destination: Peacehaven, Tye Football playing fields...

Here is a rough schedule that i will follow:

Joe is arriving at mine at 4 o clock, we will shoot the bedroom scene inbetween 4 and 4.30. Then we will put the tent up, draw the banner out, and walk across to the destination and meet others there.

5.30- Shoot the scenes, with everybody there.

If needs be, shoot more scenes, Sunday

Yellow Fish Studio's

Last weekend, a group of us went to Yellow Fish Studio's near Lewes. There was 6 performing acts, that are going to be at Meadowlands. The acts ranged from Chamber Orchestra, Abi Wade, Tall Ships, Kate Walsh, Gypsy and the Wolf and the Miserable Rich.

Our job was to interview the bands, whilst filming and capturing the sound with a boom mic, along with asking them questions. We took stills as well as video footage, and managed to interview some of the organisers that participate in Meadowlands. The day was a really good experience to me, and we all worked well together as a team.

Here are some photo's from the day....

Viral Video Concept- Storyboards

In pitch, we had to present our ideas for a viral video to Mark Ede. Here is my storyboard and idea....

My lecturer's liked the idea of my video, and are looking forward to seeing the end product. They said i will have to be careful though, because it is a very humerus and funny idea, sometimes you can try to be funny, and it can end up, not funny, which will look terrible, so i will have to be really careful with portraying my video.

After Pitch Preperation

Here is a copy of the board my Lecture Andrew wrote down, after Pitch. We divided jobs between us and my class mate Harry Winter and I, have been selected to undergo producing the questions in order to ask the Band members and Press, on Sunday afternoon.

My next post will be considering the questions to ask people on Sunday.

Promotion Video's for other Festivals

Here are some promotion video's for Festivals after promotion :

I quite like this style of video, where they have a bit of footage, along with some stills, a bit of stop motion etc. It has a variety of techniques in it, and is quite successful, but if i was to do something simular, i am not sure if i would have a voice over.

This is another effective promotion video, made up of all stills captured from the reading festival.

This is a promotion video time lapse created for Latitude festival. I really like the use of time lapses, and am thinking that i would like to use this technique in my promo video (possibly in the local lama farm).

Here is some pre promotion video's.

This is a pre promotion video for the Latitude festival, as is done in the style of animation.

This is a pre promo video for Glastonbury, and i like the way they demostate the enviroment of the festival in completely different enviornments. I think this works well, and is very effective!

3G Connection Maps

Today i researched the availability of 3G connectivity  within the Glynde Area. It helps as i know where the area is. as it is a common road i use to go through with my friends on our motorcycles.

 3 Mobile Network

3 mobile network cover most of the area and appears to have fairly 'ok' signal in Glynde, but is not at its strongest, as it is not a deep purple colour.

Vodafone Network

Vodafone is fairly strong but had a few patches in the area which tend to be week in signal.

Orange Network

Orange network coverage seems to be strong in the Glynde area, and seems to be very consistent.

T-Mobile Network

T-Mobile's coverage seems to be very strong as well, but as you can see there are a few white patches within the middle of Glynde, where it is a week signal.
